I have a AC87U which is running the latest Asuswrt-merlin build (380.65_4). In my setup I have a main network which has separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz. On the guest network the SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz is the same, so the devices automatically switches between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
