Clear Nvram with command line

Hi guys how are you?

I have a Rt-AC5300 and the 5ghz signal is way poor, i know that if if reset the router for 10 seconds it`s clear the nvram, but i want to go far

I`m planning to make a restore here and i wanna help if the steps i want to make is the correct

1 - flash the new fw

2 - make the reset by pushing the back router button for 10 seconds

3 - make this command : mtd-erase2 nvram

4 - turn off the router and turn it on again

5- configure the router and start using again
