Q) Router port forward for itself

Hi

I use ac68p with merlin firmware.

I want to use internal 80 port for web admin, and external 8000 port for web.

I've set port forward external 8000 to internal 192.168.1.1 80 but it does not work

So I did search iptables command, but it just open port.
# iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j ACCEPT

So my question is, what can I do for use different port external, internal in router?

Ac3100 unstable connection

i have the ac3100 with the latest firmware. It is in ap mode as it's taking the Internet from my cable router downstairs. I have new cat 6 cables run. I just recently upgraded from the 50mb to the 130mb plan. My desktop downstairs is hard wired from the cable modem and is consistent at 130ish. I sometimes get that speed on my upstairs ac3100 wireless on my cellphone but all iPads are 30-50ish. I have an android box wired into the asus and sometimes get that speed but goes down to...

Connectivity issues with ASUS RT-AC68U and USB modem

Hi everyone,

I'm having connectivity issues when using a ASUS RT-AC68U router in combination with a Huawei E3372 USB modem.

The issues occur when the modem is plugged directly into the router, but not when it's plugged into a computer.

I can still connect to the internet, and for the most part it works fine, but I experience intermittent connection issues. I find that visiting a specific site will work fine, but then suddenly visiting the same site will time out, then maybe 5-10 minutes...

My 87 has been not streaming iheart radio very well in the far end of the house. Never been a problem before. It keeps buffering. I did a ping test on my phones IP (Samsung Note 8) thought the router and it doesn't seem to bad. Think it's getting weak or need to try a different firmware? On Merlin 380.70

[RT-AC86U] Switching to Verizon slows WiFi (not ethernet)?

Hey all, weird problem. Short version is: I have Verizon FIOS and Comcast active. If I switch the wan ethernet feeding the router from one to the other, my iPhone X gets full wi-fi bandwidth from Comcast, but only half (50 Mbps of 100) from Verizon FIOS. My computer over ethernet gets full on both. Is there some router settings that need to be tweaked for FIOS?

- I'm using Ookla speedtest.net and the iOS app, same test server every time. (Tried verizon's speed test a few times...

I'm a novice at routers. I bought this router based upon reviews and the fact that they advertise that you can use if for Mac Time Machine backups.

I've contact ASUS and while they are very nice - they're not at all helpful. They don't seem to grasp the nature of the problem.

I have two portable USB drives that I've plugged into router.

One of the drives I want to use for Mac Time Machine backups. No matter what I do Time Machine always claims it can't find the disk.

Just got my new AC86U and unfortunately I find these in the logs especially during CPU intensive task like transferring files to/from its USB3.0 share

Hey guys. I've tried everything here and I can't seem to work out why my Wired speeds on my Xbox One X are slower than my Wireless speeds.

Router: RT-AC68U 384.4_2 Firmware (Factory reset after update)
My ISP speed: 100mbps Down / 30mbps Up
Xbox One X - NAT OPEN - No service problems

Xbox One X (Detailed Network Statistics result):
[WIRED] 90Mbps Down / 10.1Mbps Up - 0% Packet Loss - 1480 MTU - 47ms Ping - Cat6 Cable
[WIRELESS] 75Mbps Down/10.0Mbps Up - 0% Packet Loss - 1480 MTU - 51ms...

Hello,

This is my first post on this forum and I ask your indulgence if I do not respect the rules in use on it.

Here is my case:

I have an Asus RT-AC68U that I wanted to flash last week to the last official release (3.0.0.4.384.20648) ... what a bad idea!

After the application of the new firmware I realized that my routing table was gone!:(

Fortunately, I asked help to Asus French technical support and I can tell you that it's a very good address ... if you do not need anything this is...

My RT-AC68U is resuscitated!

Confused by AC3100 Adaptive QOS

I just installed my first ASUS router (AC3100) and I'm a little confused by adaptive QOS. I'm running the ASUS firmware.

As I understand it, adaptive QOS broadly classifies activity, you prioritize the categories and the router builds rules off of that.

In the Bandwith Monitor you can drag priority labels onto devices. How does that affect adaptive QOS and the priority category mechanism it uses?

I have a 10/100 connection and I'm using Backblaze which uses SSL/TLS to transmit the...

Have any of the local Uber-Geeks managed to get the gt-ac5300 source code to compile???? So far all efforts on my part
have failed badly. The cross toolchain directories appear totally absent. Sigh. I want add a few service feature(s)
but till I can build the damn image am in Snafu mode.

ASUS RT-AC51U Repeater Mode - Padavan

Hi,
Complete noob here so go easy on me :)
I have a RT-AC51U that I want to use as a repeater to extend my wifi into the garden.
There isn't an option in stock firmware however a bit of googling led me to install Padavan firmware 3.4.3.9 -099 which I read allowed repeater mode but the option still isn't there.
Is it possible to use this router as a wireless repeater or should I bin it and purchase something that works out the box.

I have a AC56U running the latest Merlin firmware. I was noticing that I can enter DNS numbers on the WAN tab and the LAN tab, under DHCP server. Is there any benefit to one over the other?

I have a converted TM-1900, and I have been able to load firmware and get the AImesh icon fine. I just bought a RT-AC3100, loaded 3.0.0.4.384.20379. No Aimesh icon.

After a full reset, during the Quick Internet setup the AC3100 does let me declare during manual setup to make it either an AImesh node or router,

Whenever I run a speed test item from LAN I am getting only 178GB, when I perform on the Modem directly I get roughly 800Mb/s. Anything I can do to resolve this?
